Reviving Scenes from the Heian Period

Three Heian-period buildings, called “Saiku-Ryocho,” have been reconstructed at the historic site of Saiku, recreating the appearance of the ancient Saiku Palace. It is believed to have been used for ceremonies and feasts.

In the background, the world of ancient Heian-period architecture unfolds.
